Astrology and the Barnum Effect

Probably one of the biggest arguments I see being used against astrology is the Barnum effect. Basically, it’s an effect that states that people are naturally inclined to believe in general, vague descriptions that can apply to everyone.

The people who make this argument get so smug because they think, “It’s true, the astrological descriptions are all so vague and applicable to everyone, so therefore, it’s bullshit!” when really, they don’t know what they’re talking about.

If you look at your natal chart, you’ll see that all of the signs are present. You are supposed to feel all of the signs resonating within you. When you read those vague Sun sign descriptions, they should ideally resonate somehow in some way. If you don’t, you have an interception, and interceptions can feel quite painful for anyone who has one in their natal chart since it shows an imbalance of the signs.

The people who make this argument also argue on the assumption that astrology was supposed to be extremely accurate, in an objective sense. What these skeptics don’t realize is that astrology is a subjective subject, and that accuracy, or the truth is truly a subjective idea when humans have different biases and perceptions due to their complexities. If accuracy was so objective, why do people still have arguments to this day? If accuracy, or the truth, was so objective, wouldn’t everybody know about it to where no conflicts would occur? Of course, this wouldn’t happen because the subjectivity of the truth is connected to our uniqueness as an individual.

Astrology was not and will never be an objective subject in its essence. If astrology was objective at all, it would be for the sake of existing and mental understanding. After all, you can’t objectify the human personality, and people who generally take an objective stance will struggle to understand that.

Astrology isn’t vague because it’s inaccurate, it’s vague because it takes the essence of life into account. Astrology is a subject that realizes that random circumstances, environments, and events all come into play when it comes to the individual. Take the variables away, and you’ll see a warped, incorrect picture of life.

The Difference Between Oppositions and Squares

You can find the difference between aspects in how the signs work with each other. It can be really hard to solidly tell a difference between an opposition and a square, since they can bring similar, disharmonious effects. However, this does not mean their effects are exactly the same.

An opposition is composed of two sister signs… but what is the actual composition of an opposition? In order to have an opposition, you need two signs that share the same polarity and mode, but are different in their elements. For a square, you need to have two signs that differ in polarity and element, but share the same mode.

The effects of oppositions and squares are quite different. For an opposition, there is often an emphasis of two sides. Instead of functioning like a single, powerful unit, like a conjunction, the two planets involved in an opposition will often go into opposite directions to achieve the same motive. You can see that the signs involved in an opposition have the same motive because they have the same polarity and mode. With the same polarity, opposing signs will have their motive take place in the same environment, which can either be external (masculine) or internal (feminine.) With the same mode, the two opposing planets will go at the motive with the same energetic method. This does not mean the actual method will be the same, but the framework of the method will be. The actual method will differ through the elements and the rulerships of the signs involved. Many of the signs that are opposing each other are also ruled by planets that have massive archetypal differences, which drives the disharmonious differences in an opposition. For example, Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet of conflict while Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of harmony.

It’s also important to note that the two opposing planets will also take place in opposing Houses in the natal chart since the planets must be 180 degrees away. The reason why there is such a polarizing pull from an opposition is because the planets involved in an opposition are involved in two Houses that are focused on seemingly “opposite” subjects. A good example is the 1st and the 7th House. The 1st House is focused on the self, while the 7th House is focused on the other - both are tied to relations and identity.

For a square, there is the feeling of a “block” between two planets in two different signs. One planet will try to express itself, only to be blocked by the other planet and vice versa. There can be a lot of tension with a square aspect, for the native can often feel restricted from doing what they seek to do. Often, for planets involved in a square, there is often a feeling of knowing how to channel your energy (due to the same mode) into a certain task, only to find that the actual energy required to get to the task are in two completely different environments, which is why a square feels very tense. For example, Scorpio is square to Aquarius. Both signs would like to remain stable, yet persistent in a certain subject (since they’re both fixed,) but Aquarius would like to gain this stability through rationality (air) in the outside environment (masculine,) but Scorpio would rather gain this stability through emotions (water) in an inside environment (feminine.) Due to the different polarities and environments involved, there’s a conflict. It’s hard to accomplish a task involving two different environments and methods. It’s important to note that the squares take place in Houses that are 90 degrees away from each other, since a square is 90 degrees between two planets.

Often, you’ll find that the Houses involved are often subjects that strive for the same goal, but through different ways. A good example is the 1st and 4th House. The 1st House represents your identity, while your 4th House represents your family. Both you and your family strive to invest in your success, but you can find that your family will want something different from you, even though the end goal is success. This is why people can sometimes feel that the family is a threat to their identity.

The Ascendant Is Important!

Here’s why:

  • The Ascendant does not just show “how people see you.”

  • The Ascendant signifies how you’ve entered into the world. It represents your birth, your first breath, and your first, strongest view of the world.

  • The 1st House rules over the head. The Ascendant can not only have a say on your facial appearance, but the overall vibe of your appearance as a whole.

  • The Ascendant serves as a spreadsheet for the placement of your planets. Without the Ascendant, you will not know which Houses your planets are in.

  • The Ascendant also sets the order of the signs ruling the Houses. The signs are in order on your natal chart, and the fact that the order can’t be changed shows that the Ascendant has a strong effect on the rest of your Houses. This implies that the rest of the Houses are connected in some way to the Ascendant.

  • The Ascendant is often accepted in many aspect patterns due to its important and visible effects.

  • The Ascendant is often used as a defense mechanism against the world as a way to keep oneself safe by covering the sign ruled by the 12th House. The defensiveness/covering of the Ascendant goes with the archetypal notion that Aries, the sign naturally ruling the 1st House is always defensive and on-guard from outside forces.

  • The Ascendant is often used to find one’s karmic lessons and directions in addition to the North and South Node.

  • The Ascendant is the start of the natal chart and is arguably one of the most important angles in the natal chart.

The Difference Between Trines and Sextiles

You can find the difference between aspects in how the signs work with each other. It can be really hard to solidly tell a difference between a sextile and a trine, since they can bring similar, harmonious effects. However, this does not mean their effects are exactly the same.

While both trines and sextiles are harmonious, the two aspects are very different in what they’re composed of. A trine consists of two signs that are of the same element and polarity while a sextile is composed of two signs that are of different elements, but share the same polarity.

This is important to note because signs that are trine to each other work so naturally and easily to where the native can often not notice the workings of this aspect. This is why people tend to say that trines can either be used for natural talent, or be wasted due to ignorance. The reason why the trine works so naturally is because the two signs involved have the same element, in other words, medium to work with. For example, water signs use emotions as a medium to express themselves, and when two water signs are brought together, they can easily work together because there isn’t an need to change the current medium in hand. When there is no change, there is less room for a misunderstanding between the two signs. However, with no change, there can be a lack of movement and stimulation.

Sextiles however, work harmoniously on different, but compatible mediums due to the same polarity. For example, fire and air signs work well together because both of their mediums (energy and communication) are seen in external environments due to their masculine polarity. Due to the mediums both being external, there is less room for misunderstanding, which makes the aspect harmonious. However, since the mediums involved are different, sextiles do not feel as natural as trines since the native must use two different mediums to express the aspect. Natives with sextiles are often aware of this aspect because it doesn’t feel as natural as a trine and will often consciously express this aspect.

*The only exceptions that can be made to this post are the existence of out-of-sign aspects. Out-of-sign aspects need to be looked at more carefully, since the energy with out-of-sign aspects are not only weaker, but can also be different. You can check the differences in the specific signs, planets, and houses involved.

Family Dynamics and Parenting

There are several ways to look at how you can parent your child in astrology. This post will mainly focus on influences in the Houses, rather than the planets, even though the rest of your chart is very important to look at.

You may have interceptions in your Houses, to where these descriptions will not apply. If that is the case, then the descriptions below will be altered in a sense that there is an imbalance in a certain sign, and with the imbalance, there can be trouble or talent. Asking an astrologer to analyze those Houses will give you a better idea.

If you look at the signs ruling over each house, you will find that the sign at the 4th House will be opposing the sign at the 10th House, and will also neighbor the sign at 5th House. The sign at the 5th House will be inconjunct to the sign at 10th House, which will combine common elements between the two signs either harmoniously or disharmoniously, depending how you choose to channel that energy. The conflicting energies from the 5th and 10th House can also show the choices and factors that can play whether you want to have children or not at all. It is however, entirely possible to work with both energies.

Aries in the 4th + Taurus in the 5th + Libra in the 10th: Raising children for charm and beauty from a childhood of volatile conflict - With Aries in the 4th House, you were raised to where you were encouraged to be independent, assertive, and courageous so that you could willingly do things on your own. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family was volatile and overly aggressive due to numerous arguments, and maybe even violence. With that in mind, with Taurus in the 5th House, you ideally want to raise your children in a comfortable, safe environment with little to no conflict. However, a strong theme of stubbornness and persistence will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Libra in the 10th House, you may try to avoid arguments and instead, encourage diplomatic relations in the family, since you weren’t granted as much peace as you liked in your childhood. You ideally want a transition from the masculine, aggressive, Martian childhood you had, to a relaxing, beautiful Venusian upbringing for your children. While your ideal parenting is comfortable and perhaps visually appealing, there can be a lack of substance and growth due to the comfort provided. With Aries and Taurus ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of your new family will be comfort, peace, and beauty, in both an internal and external sense. However, there can be a struggle combining such elements because there can be a problem of whether you would rather implement comfort and strong values within your family, or go out and communicate justice and compromise with others outside your family, since you may not have been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Taurus in the 4th + Gemini in the 5th + Scorpio in the 10th: Raising children for knowledge and power from a childhood of beauteous shallowness - With Taurus in the 4th House, you were raised to where you were encouraged to make yourself comfortable, have strong values, and look presentable to others. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family lacked communication, fun, and mental stimulation. With that in mind, with Gemini in the 5th House, you ideally want to raise your children in a dynamic, talkative environment. However, a strong theme of being skilled in manipulating your physical and abstract surroundings with talent will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Scorpio in the 10th House, you may try to dig and stimulate needed arguments and strengthen your relationships through intimacy, since you felt that your relationships in your childhood were shallow. You ideally want a transition from the calm, but somewhat meaningless childhood you had to an intimate, important, and deeply mental stimulating upbringing for your children. While your ideal parenting is fun and dynamic, there can be a lack of stability due to the strong focus on abstract (thoughts and emotions) rather than physical concepts. With Gemini and Scorpio ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of your new family will to consistent have mentally stimulating and intimate interactions in both an internal and external sense. However, there can be a struggle combining such elements because there is a problem of whether you would rather implement intimacy and secrets within your family, or go out and communicate and disclose your thoughts to others outside your family, since you may not have been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Gemini in the 4th + Cancer in the 5th + Sagittarius in the 10th: Raising children for roots and beliefs from a childhood of logical skepticism  - With Gemini in the 4th House, you were raised to where you were encouraged to be intelligent, smart, and to communicate with others in the family. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family lacked a focus on emotions and taking those emotions into account in logical discussions. With that in mind, with Cancer in the 5th House, you ideally want to raise your children to be emotionally in tune with themselves, and to prioritize their emotions and comfort. However, a strong theme of maintaining intelligence in abstract concepts will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Sagittarius in the 10th House, you may try to implement a view of the world that’s not logically sound, but is built from belief, since you felt that your family heavily emphasized on logic and knowledge rather than illogical belief. You ideally want a transition from the busy, logically based childhood you had to an emotionally emphasized and belief-based upbringing where you don’t always have to tie everything you know and believe in with logic and rationality. While your ideal parenting is soft, there can be numerous errors due to a too heavy reliance on emotions and belief to validate things you may feel, not find, to be facts. With Cancer and Sagittarius ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of of your new family will be to explore and to emotionally resonate and believe in values that aren’t always logical. However, there can be a struggle combining such elements because there is a problem of whether you would rather stick to your emotional roots and comfort within your family, or go out and tell others about your beliefs (that can be considered irrational) outside your family, since you may have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Cancer in the 4th + Leo in the 5th + Capricorn in the 10th: Raising children with talent and ambition from a childhood of comfort - With Cancer in the 4th House, you were to where you were strongly encouraged to stick to your family’s roots, stay comfortable emotionally, and to stick to the past. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family lacked a focus on fun, creativity, and romance. With that in mind, with Leo in the 5th House, you ideally want to raise your children to be creative, spontaneous, and unique from others. However, a strong theme of maintaining a strong presence will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Capricorn in the 10th House, you will try to stray away from your family roots and to create your own values and ambitions. You ideally want a transition from an established, comfortable foundation from your childhood to an upbringing where you drive your own children to create their own ambitions and responsibilities. While your ideal parenting is good for surviving for the world, you may struggle to take an account to your children’s emotions, failing to realize that you don’t always have to be the best in everything to validate yourself. With Leo and Capricorn ruling the 5th and 10th House the focus of your new family will be to practically yet creatively establish your presence into the world with your talents and and ambition. However, there can be a struggle combining such elements because there is a problem of whether you want to establish practical ambitions within your family, or go out and shine and showcase your talents creatively outside your family, since you have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Leo in the 4th + Virgo in the 5th + Aquarius in the 10th: Raising children with a rational heart for society from a childhood of selfishness - With Leo in the 4th House, you were raised to where you were encouraged to stand out, be creative, have fun, and to have a charismatic image. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family lacked a focus on work and consideration for others, since there was a strong focus on self-expression. With that in mind, with Virgo in the 5th House, you ideally want your children to be selfless, hardworking, and serving to other people. However, a strong theme of maintaining a strong role will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Aquarius in the 10th House, you will not focus on helping yourself, but help the community around you and strive for progress in society rather than yourself. You ideally want a transition from a childhood that emphasized art and the self to a upbringing that will encourage the other and technology. While your ideal parenting is good for helping the world, you may struggle to realize or utilize your children’s talents and artistic abilities. With Virgo and Aquarius ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of your family will be to effectively use technology and logic to help others in the world. However, there can be a struggle combining such elements because there is a problem of whether you want to establish a constant, efficient routine within your family, or go out and try to bring progress and help others outside your family, since you have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Virgo in the 4th + Libra in the 5th + Pisces in the 10th: Raising children with love and imagination from a childhood of dullness - With Virgo in the 4th House, you were raised to where you were encouraged to work, fulfill your duties, and to help others around you. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family lacked a focus on enjoying the sweeter side of life, relaxation, and indulgence. With that in mind, with Libra in the 5th House, you ideally want your children to be artistic, charming, and socially graceful to others. However, a strong theme of being considerate to others will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Pisces in the 10th House, you will focus on the deeper, more imaginative and artistic side to life with the need to enjoy what life has to offer. You ideally want a transition from a childhood that emphasized the details of reality to an upbringing that will encourage the grandness of imagination. While your ideal parenting is good for love, you may struggle to help your children become practical and solid with their daily routines and to pay special attention to glaring everyday life issues. With Libra and Pisces ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of your family will be to promote peace and to envision a better world through a loving imagination. However, there can be a struggle of combining such elements because there is a problem of whether you want to feel intimate, compassionate love within your family, or go out and bring that love through diplomatic social interactions outside your family, since you have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Libra in the 4th + Scorpio in the 5th + Aries in the 10th: Raising children with independence and power from a childhood of conformation - With Libra in the 4th House, you were raised to where you were encouraged to be peaceful, socially graceful, and fair to others. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family lacked a focus on intimacy, the darker, uglier side to life, and needed conflict for stronger relationships. With that in mind, with Scorpio in the 5th House, you ideally want your children to be powerful, intense, and be in touch with what the world really is. However, a strong theme of maintaining power will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Aries in the 10th House, you will want to focus on being independent, assertive, and courageous enough to get what you want from the world. You ideally want a transition from a childhood that was peaceful but shallow to an upbringing that will encourage your children to fight for what they want, and see the world for what it really is. While your ideal parenting is good for establishing a sense of identity, you may struggle to help your children deal with others gently and peacefully - resulting in unproductive conflict. With Aries and Scorpio ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of your family will be to become fighters for themselves and to establish an identity that will penetrate the world. However, there can be a struggle of combining such elements because there is a problem of whether you want to provide secretive, intimate strength within your family, or go out and inspire others through your own strength and identity outside your family, since you have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Scorpio in the 4th + Sagittarius in the 5th + Taurus in the 10th: Raising children with a wonder for the world from a childhood of darkness - With Scorpio in the 4th House, you were raised to where you were encouraged to be secretive, powerful, and influential to others. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family lacked optimism, for you felt that the atmosphere of your family was very heavy, and even uncomfortable. With that in mind, with Sagittarius in the 5th House, you ideally want your children to be intelligent, adventurous, and appreciate the wonders of the world around them. However, a strong theme of deep, critical thinking will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Taurus in the 10th House, you will want to focus on appreciating the physical luxuries of life and indulge in comfortable wealth. You ideally want a transition from a childhood that was extreme and volatile to an upbringing that will encourage your children to appreciate and love the things offered by life. While your ideal upbringing is good for promoting hope, you may struggle to help your children realize the darkness the world also offers - resulting in a harmful surprise. With Sagittarius and Taurus ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of your family will be to explore the world and enjoy the luxuries gained from adventures and wealth. However, there can be a struggle of combining such elements because there is a problem of whether you want to provide a comfortable luxury within your family, or go out and teach and show others the beauty of life outside your family, since you have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Sagittarius in the 4th + Capricorn in the 5th + Gemini in the 10th: Raising children with a strong mind and success from a childhood of jokes - With Sagittarius in the 4th House, you were raised to where you were encouraged to be intelligent, optimistic, and to not take life too seriously. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family didn’t realize the practicalities of the world that goes against optimism and how to create a strong, serious presence in the world. With that in mind, with Capricorn in the 5th House, you ideally want your children to be successful, practical, and important in society. You ideally want a transition from a childhood that didn’t do society justice in its image to an upbringing that will show the world for what it is and how to succeed in it. However, a strong theme of mastering the world will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Gemini in the 10th House, you will want to focus on solid, tangible knowledge rather than subjective belief. You ideally want a transition from a childhood that was impractical and not solid to an upbringing that will encourage your children to be logically smart and constructively ambitious and successful. While your upbringing is good for leading a society, you may struggle to help your children see the fun in life, often resulting in a lack of substance. With Capricorn and Gemini ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of your family will be to efficiently use logical knowledge to achieve pragmatic ambitions. However, there can be a struggle of combining such elements because there is a problem of whether you want to provide structure and practicality within your family or go out and teach the rational reality to others outside your family, since you have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family didn’t give you the opportunity to break the rules and to be free. With that in mind, with Aquarius in the 5th House, you ideally want your children to be unique, popular, and rebellious. However, there is a strong theme of maintaining intelligence and power from your childhood to raising your children. With Cancer in the 10th House, you want to focus on keeping others comfortable rather than uncomfortably pursuing responsibility. You ideally want a transition from a childhood that was too restricting and cold to an upbringing that will encourage your children to be free and comfortable to be young instead of being mature at an early age. While your upbringing is good for implementing compassion and help into society, you can struggle to help your children be practical, serious, and realistic, often resulting in failure due to impracticality. With Aquarius and Cancer ruling the 10th House, the focus of your family will be to emotionally nurture others and challenge the norms of society. However, there can be a problem of combining such elements because there is a struggle of whether you want to provide emotional comfort and focus on the fixing the past within your family or go out and break the norms of society and focus on fixing the future outside your family, since you have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Aquarius in the 4th + Pisces in the 5th + Leo in the 10th: Raising children with imaginative self-expression from a childhood of society - With Aquarius in the 4th House, you were raised to where you were encouraged to focus on your community, and to be helpful to humanity by being rationally intelligent. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family didn’t teach you to develop your imagination due to overly focusing on your community realistically. With that in mind, with Pisces in the 5th House, you ideally want your children to focus on their own individual imaginations so that they can develop their own kind of compassion for others, even though it may be impractical. However, there is a strong theme of idealism and breaking standards that will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Leo in the 10th House, you want to focus on your own charismatic identity and artistic talents rather than wasting them for the sake of others. You ideally want a transition from a childhood that was too unpredictable and community-based to an upbringing that will encourage your children to stand out and to not be bound by their community. While your upbringing is good for developing one’s unique talents, you can struggle to help your children focus on the state of the community around them and drive progress for others rather than themselves. With Pisces and Leo ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of your family will be to be imaginative and to develop unique, charismatic talents for the self that will not be overpowered by others. However, there can be a problem of combining such elements because there is a struggle of whether you want to keep your imagination and talents within your family, or go out and expose those talents and promote self-expression outside your family, since you have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Pisces in the 4th + Aries in the 5th + Virgo in the 10th: Raising children with a strong identity and mind from a childhood of confusion - With Pisces in the 4th House, you were raised in a childhood where you were encouraged to be spiritual, imaginative, and sacrificial to others. However, in your childhood, you may feel that your family didn’t help you develop a sense of assertiveness and identity within yourself to where you couldn’t effectively serve others. With that in mind, with Aries in the 5th House, you ideally want your children to be courageous, strong, and true to themselves. However, there is a strong theme of innocence and optimism that will remain from your childhood to raising your children. With Virgo in the 10th House, you want to focus on the essential details of reality and use those details to help others rather than sit and unproductively imagine. You ideally want a transition from a childhood that was unproductive and confusing to an upbringing that will encourage your children to be energetic and productive in the world. While your upbringing is good for developing a good work ethic, you may struggle to help your kids become compassionate, gentle, and open to the slower-paced side to life. With Aries and Virgo ruling the 5th and 10th House, the focus of your family will be to productively and effectively work due to knowing one’s strength through a strong sense of identity. However, there can be a problem of combining such elements because there is a struggle of whether you want to encourage serving and practicality within your family or go out and knowingly pursue what you individually want outside your family, since you have not been granted both things in your childhood. This struggle can determine whether you would want to have a family or to go into the world to pursue what you’ve lacked.

Relationship Dynamics in Astrology

Astrology can show some insight on your relationship dynamics with others. The relationships described can either be platonic or romantic, since both types of relationships can run deeply between two people. Be sure to look at other elements of your chart, for this post illustrates the connections between the 7th House and 8th House. If you would like to check your relationships with lovers, check the 5th House. if you would like to check your relationship with friends, check the 11th House. You can gain a further understanding of your relationships with others when you are able to piece these areas together.

If you have two signs ruling the 7th and 8th House, you may find that you can’t disconnect your intimate needs from your one-on-one interactions. This may prove to be very difficult since it is hard to achieve intimacy with another person right away. With that in mind, there is a struggle in maintaining a functional relationship dynamic.

If you have your 7th House intercepted, you can struggle to start one-on-one interactions easily. What you ideally want in your one-on-one interactions can be unstable. If you have your 8th House intercepted, you can struggle to have intimate relationships with others.

7th House ruled by Aries//8th House ruled by Taurus: Your one-on-one interactions with others are generally very passionate and fun. There can be a lot of arguments and fun debates with who you talk to. There is a focus on keeping the relationship spicy, dynamic, and relevant to you. However, with your relationships, you intimately need stability and calmness if you want your relationships to be significant to you. People can leave you once you try to calm down the fiery dynamic of your relationship or can stay to stabilize your relationship with them. People may also try to leave you if you aren’t able to settle down the passion in your relationship and calm the the relationship dynamic down.

7th House ruled by Taurus//8th ruled by Gemini: Your one-on-one interactions with others are generally very slow-paced and steady. There are rarely arguments, and if there are any, they are eliminated immediately to keep things calm. There is a focus on comfort, and you like to keep your relationships in the comfort zone. However, with your relationships, you intimately need constant communication and change if you want your relationships to be significant to you. People can leave you once you try to get out of the comfort zone and communicate more or can stay in your relationship and keep a intelligent conversation. People may also try to leave you if you aren’t able to get out of your comfort zone and open your mind to different opinions.

7th House ruled by Gemini//8th ruled by Cancer: Your one-on-one interactions with others are generally very talkative, intelligent, and fun. Your Actual Internet Persona vs Your Ideal Internet Persona

The 10th and 11th House are usually where you want to find what you’re like on the Internet. Why? The 10th House is the house of the public and the  world. Your public image is seen through your 10th House. The Internet is your online public image, so therefore, you can find insight to see how people view you online. The 11th House shows how you ideally want to be seen online. The 11th House is naturally ruled by Aquarius, which is a sign associated with technology. The 11th House also rules over friendships and community, and with that, you want to show the best parts of yourself.

Be aware that any dominant elements in your natal chart (dominant planet, sun, moon, and/or dominant house) will also be seen online.

If you have duplicated signs due to interceptions, meaning that you have the same sign ruling both Houses, then this post will not apply for you. Those with duplicated signs in the 10th and 11th House will tend to have an online image that is similar to their ideal image… Or can struggle to identify how they want to establish themselves online. There is a strong emphasis on the duplicated sign when it comes to online affairs.

Aries in the 10th//Taurus in the 11th - You are seen to be assertive, direct, and straightforward online. It’s hard to misunderstand what you’re saying since you’re very straightforward, but you could also be very aggressive. With that in mind, you can participate in a lot of arguments and debates. However, you ideally want to be seen as someone who is calm, steady, and appealing. Sometimes, you can feel that your current online image is too harsh and brash.  You ideally want to be seen as someone who is comforting. You try your best to remain calm and comfortable, but you can be easily affected by what you see on the Internet. It can be hard for you to accept that you’re wrong, for you can be very stubborn online.

Taurus in the 10th//Gemini in the 11th - You generally tend to be well liked on the Internet. With Taurus being a sign ruled by Venus, your blog or social media can be very visually appealing. People tend to come to you for good vibes, and it’s hard to make you angry. However, you can be seen to be shallow, superficial, and maybe unintelligent. People can underestimate you due to this, which is why you want to be seen as someone who is educated online. You want to be seen as a fun, carefree, and talkative individual for you feel that you can be stuck in your comfort zone sometimes. Ultimately, you want to have a worry-free experience on the Internet because not everything should be taken seriously.

Gemini in the 10th//Cancer in the 11th - People look up to you on an intellectual plane when it comes to online matters. You are fun, spontaneous, and hilarious. You may like to post a lot of memes and laugh at a lot of posts. You don’t take things too seriously on the Internet, since it’s all just a bunch of fun for you. However, you may feel that your emotions can be hidden and ideally, you want people to take you seriously when you express your emotions online. Usually, you contribute a logical and rational argument, but you may deeply seek for an emotional understanding. Ultimately, you want other people to see that you have the ability to be someone they can emotionally rely on, even though, you’re seen to be light-hearted person.

Cancer in the 10th//Leo in the 11th - People find you to be a very sweet individual online. You may find that a lot of people come to you for advice. There is a vibe of safety and comfort when people approach you on social media. You may be very emotionally understanding to others, and can give good advice. Generally, you are seen to be sweet, but sometimes, you can find that people take advantage of your sweet nature. You can be passive-aggressive when you don’t get your own way, making you quite moody. There is a part of you that wants to shine above the rest. Due to this lack of respect, you may try to make yourself look respectable online by expressing your creativity and talents. Instead of having to praise and comfort others online, you’d like it if someone praised you.

Leo in the 10th//Virgo in the 11th - When it comes to your online persona, you are seen to be very charismatic. It’s likely that you are very popular on social media, and you can quite a lot of attention. You are quite creative in your online expression. However, through all of this popularity, you may want others to just see you as a normal person. Sometimes people tend to forget that you are just a normal individual and can treat you unfairly due to your popularity. You can also feel impractical for you feel like you can’t apply your creativity to something productive sometimes. Ultimately, you want to have attention that’s genuine and true and to place your creativity into something productive for others.

Virgo in the 10th//Libra in the 11th - With Virgo ruling your 10th House, you tend to have a quieter online image. You tend to be very organized in your online affairs, for you like to keep your blogs and social media to be clean. Any mess or lack of organization can bug you. You are very analytical and helpful to anyone who comes to you for help. However, you can feel very misunderstood because you are someone who tends to criticize others online for their own good. People can find you to be petty and you feel that you aren’t well-liked. You ultimately want others to see you to be someone social and charming. There is a craving for validation from others. You can feel unappealing online, so you also strive to be seen as someone aesthetically pleasing.

Libra in the 10th//Scorpio in the 11th - People tend to see you to be charming, sweet, and social. You usually know the right things to say, and you have the ability to remain neutral and diplomatic with any conflicts. You strongly focus on beauty and you try to make your social media accounts look aesthetically pleasing. However, you tend to focus a lot on people’s interactions online, and people can find you to be a shallow, gossipy person. Due to this, you can feel like you are at a distance from others. The reason why you pay attention to such interactions is because you ultimately want to have intimate relationships online. You want to look good online is because you feel that people won’t tolerate the “ugly” side you don’t want to show yourself. Ultimately, you seek for intimacy and true acceptance online.

Scorpio in the 10th//Sagittarius in the 11th - When you have Scorpio in the 10th House, you will cause extreme reactions from people online. People will either love you, or hate your guts. You tend to not reveal too much of yourself online, only revealing details that will lead to a dead end. You are very particular to who you talk to and who you will be close with. With a lack of information shown, people will usually find you to be either mysterious or intimidating. This lack of understanding hurts you, because there is a fun, dorky side of you, and this is ultimately the side of you that you want to show. You want to be seen has someone optimistic, fun, and exciting, but you feel that showing such a side shows your vulnerability. There is a part of you that wants to let go and just be carefree online.

Sagittarius in the 10th//Capricorn in the 11th - With Sagittarius in the 10th House, you are generally seen to be a very fun and approachable person. While you can be seen to be very funny, you can also be very intelligent and participate in a lot of open-ended discussions. However, you tend to have exaggerating tendencies, which can make you unnecessarily blunt and reckless. Due to this, you can feel out of place online, and with that, you want to be seen as someone important. You ultimately want others to take you seriously. People tend to forget that you have a serious side, and there are times where you want to show it so that people can respect you. You may have many aspirations, but you feel like you can’t quite place them down in a practical way.

Capricorn in the 10th//Aquarius in the 11th - When you have Capricorn ruling the 10th, it is hard for others to put you down. You are the one who tends to sound very serious and mature, and due to this, people respect you and tend to be cautious if they choose to argue with you. However, you ultimately feel like you are blocked in your expression. You are secretly scared of blowing your cover and saying stupid things out of the blue. There are so many things you want to do, but you don’t go out of your way to do it because you feel like it threatens your online image. There is a part of you that wants to stop caring about what’s right and wrong, and just have the freedom to do whatever you want. Instead of being a lone wolf, you want to be seen as someone cooperative, flexible, and well-rounded.

Aquarius in the 10th//Pisces in the 11th - When you have Aquarius in the 10th, your social media accounts are popular in a strange sense. You like to set trends, and you are probably updated on the latest memes. Sometimes you post spontaneously or erratically out of the blue. You don’t have to work very hard to be unique in your online community. Although you have a lot of out-of-the-box ideas, you feel like your online self is lacking in something. You may feel that you lack an emotional, yet creative expression to others. There is a sense of detachment to your image that you want to eliminate, for you ultimately want to be seen as a person who is sweet and compassionate to others.

Pisces in the 10th House//Aries in the 11th House - When you have Pisces in the 10th House, people can struggle to gather a coherent, correct image of you. Due to this, you may feel like you are misunderstood online. However, you are truly seen to be a sweet, compassionate individual. The confusion you feel, however, bothers you and you strive for clarity and to lead. You ideally want to be someone who is seen to be assertive, yet still inspiring to others. With your public image, you want to be understood and inspire others in a clear, straightforward fashion. You have so much creativity, but you feel like you just need a little push to make it come to life.

Ignorance in Astrology

So, in astrology, it is common to find many people doing and saying ignorant things. Astrology is an Aquarian practice, so therefore, it is frequently misunderstood and perhaps ridiculed by others. I’m going to list a few uneducated arguments and combat it with some information. Hopefully this post can help you challenge what you know and how you currently view astrology.

  • “I hate this sign! I hate that sign!” This statement is pretty ignorant for several reasons:

    • Unless you have an interception in this certain sign, you actually have this sign ruling a House somewhere in your natal chart. So technically, you’re hating yourself if you hate a sign.

    • Most people base their hate on Sun signs. Astrology is much more than just your Sun sign… The person’s sun sign may not even be what you hate about the person! This also doesn’t really justify people hating signs in other planets either, because hating a sign in any way shows the ignorance you have in accepting the positive and negative qualities a sign can have. At the end of the day, it will always be wrong to incorrectly place bias on something that is inherently neutral.

  • “I don’t relate to my sign at all.” Well, good news for you. You are more than just one sign. You actually have a lot of planets, houses, and aspects that can describe you, even though your Sun sign is still very important.

  • “Astrology is too general! These descriptions can apply to everyone.” Of course the descriptions you find online are general and can be applicable to everyone. It doesn’t make practical sense to make a pinpoint, specific description for you unless you pay an astrologer to do it. The astrological descriptions are catered to everyone, and with that in mind, the descriptions are made to describe a placement purely and accurately. However, you are a mix of descriptions, and it’s up to you to synthesize those descriptions accurately and use astrology to find yourself. Also, the more general descriptions you gather, the more specific your chart will be. How many people in the world do you think would have the same exact number and types of astrological descriptions as you? Astrology is only too general if you don’t know how to use it.

  • “The horoscopes in the magazine aren’t accurate so therefore, astrology isn’t accurate.” Do you really think a serious, educated astrologer would write horoscopes for a magazine? For the record, for any horoscope, you use your Rising sign, not your Sun sign. If you want things to be even more accurate, go get a predictive transit reading from an astrologer.

  • “Astrology is tied to the occult! It’s evil and demonic!” The occult is technically defined to be something supernatural or magical. There is nothing magical or supernatural about astrology, for the basis of it is to observe people’s everyday, normal behavior to see how it correlates with their birth charts. There is nothing evil about observing someone’s behavior, and trying to make sense of it. There are many sciences that actually do this.

  • “I don’t believe in astrology because of my religion.” Astrology, first of all, is something you don’t believe in. Astrology is something you observe with. You don’t believe in astrology, you work and observe with astrology. You don’t need to observe something to believe in it. It is entirely possible to believe in a certain religion and practice astrology at the same time.

  • “There’s thirteen signs instead of twelve signs.” No, there isn’t thirteen signs. Ophiuchus is not a sign. The astrology that everybody knows of, tropical astrology uses astrology based off the seasons, and not the constellations. Therefore, Ophiuchus is not a sign. There are twelve signs for many symbolic reasons, and it would make no sense to add an extra sign. Which planet would Ophiuchus would rule? What kind of expressions would Ophiuchus have? How would Ophiuchus connect to the other signs?

  • “Astrology has been disproven by science, so therefore, it is not true.” There are many things science isn’t able to prove. Science is a constantly changing and dynamic subject. There are so many things we as humans do not know. It is completely arrogant to say something isn’t true because your way of understanding the world (which is essentially science) isn’t able to prove the workings of astrology. Scientists who have “disproven” astrology, do not know astrology themselves. It is impossible to disprove something you don’t know. Astrology does not have to be invalidated by science. We can’t just properly invalidate something we don’t fully understand.

  • “Astrology can’t predict my future.” Astrology was never meant to predict the future. Astrology is not an occult subject, so therefore, it doesn’t deal with supernatural subjects unless someone ties it into their own occult practices. Astrology as a subject has never claimed to predict the future, but to only point to several possibilities instead of an infinity. Astrology never promises a single, specific answer. There’s no way to get a specific answer when we tie in circumstances and time. Life is too dynamic to predict the future and when people start to panic and become fatalistic about their futures, they really forget the beauty of unpredictability.

  • “12 signs can’t define 7+ billion people.” The problem with this statement is that astrology defines people not with “just 12 signs” but with planets, aspects, signs, rulerships, and so much more. All of this is located in your natal chart. It is an assumption to think that astrology would generalize the world population to just 12 “personality types.” The signs aren’t even “personality types” to begin with, they are expressions, which can be applied to other planets, which will then give you a better picture of who you are. By the way, there are more combinations of natal charts than people currently living in the world right now. There’s actually 9,039,935,178,448 combinations if you leave out a bunch of variables. You can find the calculations here.

  • “Astrology is an outdated practice, so therefore, it’s not accurate.” Astrology was started by the Babylonians. The Greeks and Romans, ancient civilizations that people constantly look up to even today, practiced astrology. Science was also heavily used by the Greeks and Romans, which was a long time ago, so shouldn’t science be invalidated also with the logic of that argument?

  • “Isn’t astrology always going to be biased because humans are biased?” Humans are indeed biased, but astrology is inherently neutral. Astrology is only as good as the astrologer, because at the end of the day, the quality of astrology depends on those who practice it. That’s why it is essential to open your mind and gather your thoughts from other people to get a better picture. It is so important to not base astrological facts on your own experiences, but to take into account of other people’s. Humans, due to their unique natal charts will be biased, but this does not mean that being ultimately close-minded is the end result.

Of course, these are not all of the statements that can be argued against astrology. There are many more arguments, and you are completely welcome to add to this post.

Having a Cancer IC may sound nice because it can be a family environment where you can be emotionally safe and comfortable, but I feel like that comfort could potentially backfire in the end. Comfort is definitely something people strive for, but comfort is very limiting. I feel like people with a Cancer IC may feel that their parents or upbringing doesn’t allow them to be ambitious. People in their family may tell them to take the “safe route” in life, rather than the route they want for the sake of staying comfortable. Perhaps with the emotional comfort they have felt in their childhoods, they can feel quite shocked when the world isn’t as warm and welcoming as their home. Aries Risings, unless they have interceptions, can struggle with a Cancer IC because they have to break through the family barriers to find and establish their own identity. A Cancer IC is given resources and comfort, but they lack the opportunity to be ambitious and mature in their families… Which is why they ultimately have the Capricorn MC. They want to be adults, and they want to pursue their own ambitions and dreams. They want to survive in the world. They were provided with the resources at the home, and now they want to utilize it.

Contradictions of a House Stellium

A stellium can often feel like a contradiction at times. While there is a great possibility to be talented in a certain area of life, there is also a great possibility of struggling immensely in that area of life also. A native with a stellium can simultaneously feel such benefits and struggles at the same time, which can often feel polarizing and contradicting. Note that all stelliums are unique depending on the planets in the stellium and aspects being made to them. Stelliums should always be looked as a case by case basis.

  • 1st: Having many ways to find your identity but you still struggle to find yourself.

  • 2nd: Possessing many things but you feel like you never have enough.

  • 3rd: Being very talkative but feel that your thoughts are hidden.

  • 4th: Focusing strongly on the home but you're still trying to make yourself comfortable.

  • 5th: Already being inspiring and appealing to others yet you want to shine brighter.

  • 6th: Doing a job well done yet you still want to work and better yourself even more.

  • 7th: Having high expectations of others in your relationships yet you fall in love easily.

  • 8th: Having a lot of power over others, yet you still feel weak and vulnerable.

  • 9th: Being cultured and informative, but you still yearn to explore the world.

  • 10th: Wanting to do so much in the world, yet you really don't know what to do.

  • 11th: Strongly caring about your friends and/or community, but you still feel like an outsider.

  • 12th: You know the hidden, secretive ways of the world, but you are innocent to the workings of reality.

Pluto Generations

Each Pluto generation is lacking in a trait that will be highlighted in the next Pluto generation. That highlighted trait in the next trait will also lack in its own way and a new generation will be created. This shows that the transformation and change that Pluto represents is always dynamic.

Those with Pluto in Cancer focused on the family as a stable unit, failing to realize the individual talents each family member uniquely had. Due to this, those with Pluto in Leo had a strong focus on expressing yourself and having fun. However, they failed to realize that life is not just fun, but also work, which is highlighted in the Pluto in Virgo generation. The Pluto in Virgo generation was skilled in utilizing creativity into productivity, but they did not realize the beauty of taking a well needed break to enjoy the beauty of life. Those with Pluto in Libra enjoyed the beauty of life and socialized to their heart’s content, only to feel an unsettling shallowness. This shallowness is addressed when the Pluto in Scorpio generation sought to find the darker, uglier, yet intimate side of life. However, they drowned in the darkness of it all, and the Pluto in Sagittarius generation found light in the darkest of corners. Those with Pluto in Sagittarius are optimistic, but also idealistic, for they do not know their limits for they did not truly see reality. The Pluto in Capricorn generation however, does know their limits, and uses this knowledge to make practical establishments. However, due to the the confinement and restrictions of their establishments, the upcoming Pluto in Aquarius generation will break these establishments down to start something new and innovative.

There are two teachers. Jupiter and Saturn.

Jupiter makes life seemingly easy to learn. With Jupiter, you have the lessons that come easily to you. Jupiter is the teacher that will take you outside, and let you love what the world has to offer. Jupiter is the fun, cool teacher who’ll let you explore your capabilities. Jupiter wants you to love the world through the beautiful blessings it provides to others.

Saturn makes life seemingly hard to learn. With Saturn, you’ll have lessons you’ll have to difficultly learn through again and again. Saturn is the teacher that will make you see the world for what it is and force you to face a harsh reality. Saturn is the strict, responsible teacher who’ll make you use your capabilities for something truly productive. Saturn wants you to love the world through the perilous pains it provides to others.

Both Aries and Libra want to do the right thing. As sister signs, the one thing they have in common is to do justice. However, they go about this in completely different ways yet they have the same consequences.

Aries finds a sense of justice within themselves. They may say, “I’m doing this because I feel like it’s the right thing to do.” However, since Aries finds justice within itself, others can criticize Aries and call them selfish. Ironically, while Aries tries to achieve justice in self-centered way, their motives are never meant to hurt others unless stated otherwise. An Aries will also directly clash with others to get what it wants. A person will know that it’s hard to stop an Aries.

Libra finds a sense of justice within others. They may say, “I’m doing this because other people feel like it’s the right thing to do.” However, since Libra finds justice within others, others can criticize them and call them spineless and conforming. Ironically, while Libra seems selfless when trying to achieve justice, Libra has their own ideas of justice and is manipulating others to conform to their sense of fairness. A Libra will not directly conflict with others to get what they want. A person may not know that it’s hard to stop a Libra.

LILITH + REJECTION WITH THE SELF

lilith in the houses show where we are rejected by others but also where we empower ourselves. note that lilith is not prominent in every chart.

  • lilith in the 1st: people reject the very essence of you, making you feel like an outsider. you may try to hide yourself, or even reject your identity. however, you feel most powerful when you embrace who you really are.

  • lilith in the 2nd: people reject your values and possessions, making you feel like you are worthless. you may try to buy items secretly to make yourself feel better or you try to adjust your values. however, you feel most powerful when you flaunt what you have proudly.

  • lilith in the 11th: you may find yourself rejected by your friends and peers. you may feel lonely and detached, but you are at your most powerful when you become stronger through your solitude.

  • lilith in the 12th: you may find yourself rejecting your subconscious. you may feel there is a disconnect between your ego and subconscious due to this. you are at your most powerful when you accept your subconscious for what it is - even its dark side.

Libra and Balance

The balance that Libra is highly known for is an illusion. The balance that is seen within Libra is glamorized by society, which is why Libra is usually seen to be very charming and well-liked in society. Libra, like all the other 12 signs, can be imbalanced themselves. If Libra was truly balanced, there would be no need for Aries, its sister sign. There are six pairs of sister signs, and the midpoint between the two sister signs shows true balance. Libra and Aries are on the opposite ends of axis of the self and other. Libra is really not a balanced sign at all, even though it is seen to be one.

Ironically, Libras can be unbalanced quite easily. I think it’s especially hard for Libras to balance themselves since they are born with a strong quality of what they believe to be balanced and the fact that they want things to be balanced. However, what is believed to be “balanced” is subjective for everyone, and since Libras are masculine and cardinal, they will go out of their way to work to achieving their idea of balance. This makes them similar to Libra’s sister sign, Aries. Both Aries and Libras both work together to achieve what they believe is right, but the reasons and methods to get there differ.

There can be many goals Libras has to achieve in their lifetimes. I think a goal that is overlooked is the goal of finding the true meaning of balance. Libras are already born with a sense of what is considered balanced for everyone around them. However, the balance Libras are supposed to seek for is a balance that will truly resonate with themselves rather than others. In order to do that, Libras must learn about themselves and work for themselves. However, this can be a struggle for them, for they are already so skilled with other people. This is why they are the sister sign of Aries. They must do what Aries does so naturally: live for themselves. If Libras doesn’t look deep into who they are and what they need from others, they will lose their identities.

PERKS OF YOUR RISING + LESSONS TO LEARN FROM YOUR DESCENDANT

People are so quick to say that Cancers are weak crybabies when that is definitely not the case. Cancers are not weak. Cancers are in fact, brave.

Most people tend to run away from their emotions. Earth moons do this and disguise their escape as practicality and responsibility while air moons disguise their escape as logical and smart. Fire moons let their emotions run wild without consequences or fear.

With Scorpio and Pisces coming close, you’re not going to find a sign like Cancer. We tell them they’re weak for showing their emotions, yet we ignore the fact that releasing your emotions is not only healthy, but a brave act to do. Cancer is the sign who will openly make themselves emotionally vulnerable because they know for a fact that it’s the truly right thing to do. While we all hide our emotions, wondering how we could possibly handle our emotional messes while underestimating this sign, Cancer is emotionally nurturing others around them, for it is the most emotionally intelligent and kind sign out there.

You really can’t say Cancers are weak. They openly put themselves out there. They let their emotions out. Most people can’t do that.

I feel like Cancers need to be appreciated for all the hard work they do. Not only do they work hard to emotionally help others, they even make the selfless act of hiding their own emotions because they know the burden of emotional nurturing.

Leo: Bright or Blinding

It makes sense that Leo is ruled by the Sun. While the Sun is radiant and warm, it is also blinding and harmful to those who look directly at it.

When people don’t directly or give their all to compliment or praise a Leo, an underdeveloped Leo will do whatever it takes to get people to praise them.

Underdeveloped Leos can fail to realize the effort and time people take to praise them. These Leos don’t have confidence in their shining qualities, and when those qualities don’t get noticed or praised enough, these Leos will shine brighter and make themselves hotter to force others to notice their presence. However, the burden of paying attention to a Leo when they’re in this state is that they’re uncomfortable to be with. They’re more blinding, and uncomfortably hot. If not controlled, an underdeveloped Leo can burn their surroundings with their insecurities, for Leo is also a sign associated with the ego. An undeveloped Leo will go under vicious cycles, doing anything and everything to get the attention they think they deserve.

Although developed Leos will certainly feel pain when they’re not noticed by others, developed Leos will not attempt to make themselves more noticeable. Developed Leos will have a very strong and deep understanding of their strengths and assets, and will stay stationary, for they know that the right people will be attracted to their radiance. Knowing that fact is enough for them, since they are already confident in themselves. Developed Leos know that their shining qualities aren’t for everyone, and it’s absolutely ok.

While the Sun is bright, it can also be blinding. There are two sides to Leo, and here they are.

✏ your work ethic

You’re probably procrastinating while you’re reading this post. But that’s ok. However, have you ever wondered what your natal chart says about your work ethic? Do you procrastinate, or do you finish everything on time? Do you overwork, or do you work too little? How do you work? What’s your ideal work environment? All of these questions can be answered in the following places on your chart:

  • The 6th House. The 6th House is THE House for work. To specify, everyday work that you need to do everyday. This House can give insight to how your morning routine goes, and how you study before a test. This House shows how you are when you’re working at a workplace. This house also gives insight to your relationships with your coworkers, if you’re curious. Pay attention to the sign ruling this House and the planets that could be inside. If you do have planets, pay attention to the the aspects if they’re making any.

  • Having your MoonVenus, maybe JupiterUranus, and Neptune in the 6th House can show a person who can procrastinate when these planets are channeled in a negative light or if they’re making harsh aspects to other plants. With the Moon in the 6th, you can struggle to work because how and when you work depends a lot on how you feel. With Venus in the 6th, you can become lazy and incompetent in your work when you only focus on your own comforts rather than your responsibilities and only the presentation, not the content of your work. Jupiter in the 6th can only be problematic if Jupiter is making a hard aspect to another planet. Jupiter can exaggerate, and too much of anything is a bad thing. With Uranus in the 6th House, while you can be creative and quirky in your work, you also can struggle to fit into deadlines and structures in your work. With unpredictability comes a lack of planning, and with a lack of planning comes procrastination. With Neptune in the 6th, the small details essential to make a work ethic effective is confusing to you. You do not know how you actually work, and since you lack awareness, you lack the tools to evaluate your work skills. Neptune, like Venus, is also associated with laziness.

  • Mercury. Mercury rules your mind. It rules how you think, and the arguments you create in your head. It shows how your thoughts flow when you’re working. Look at the house and sign your Mercury’s in, and check the aspects made to it to get a good idea on how you think while you’re doing your work.

  • Mars. Mars rules your actions. It rules how you move, and how you actually put things into action. Look at the house and sign your Mars is in, and check the aspects to get a good idea on how you do your work.

  • Venus. Venus can show what you aim for your work in a shallow sense. Venus can show how you want your work to look, and it can rule how you want your work to be presented to others. Look at the house and sign your Venus is in, and check the aspects made to it to get a good idea on how you want your work to look like.

  • Virgo. The House that Virgo rules is the the area of life that we are more likely to put a lot of work and effort into. The work and effort put into that House can be detail-oriented, and tedious. The work you can put in that certain House can have a “worker bee” feel to it.

  • Note that any discordant aspects between these planets can show a struggle in how you work. For example, with a hard aspect with Mars and Mercury, your mind will want to work one way, but your actions will want to work in a completely different way, which can make work difficult and disharmonious.

✧ gift-giving guide ✧

Hi! Want to give your friend a gift, but you’re stumped on what they want? Maybe the stars can help you out! If you’re struggling to find the perfect gift and you want to use astrology, here’s some things you can consider on your friend’s natal chart.

  1. Dominant Planet - A individual’s dominant planet is arguably the most important planet on their chart. Sure, there’s other planets that can influence an individual, but a person’s dominant planet does a good job of generally defining and giving some a good picture of what they’re like. Knowing their dominant planet and archetype can help you determine what they want. Remember to also look at their aspects! Example: If your friend’s dominant planet is a Capricorn Moon in the 10th House, perhaps your friend wants a gift that will be emotionally stimulating, but also practical and useful for their career.

  2. Dominant House - Just like a dominant planet, an individual’s dominant house will show where the person is most likely going to utilize any gifts they receive. Knowing which House is their dominant House can be very helpful since the ruler of that House gives you a vibe of what they exactly want, and knowing where an individual is most likely to use their gift can help narrow down what you want to get for them. Be sure to check for planets and aspects. Example: If your friend’s dominant House is the 5th House, your friend is most likely to use his/her gifts while they’re trying to channel their creativity or through their hobbies. Having a dominant 5th House in Pisces with Pluto for example can mean that a person will most likely want a gift that can help them channel their artistic, creative hobbies. But, due to Pluto they’ll also want a gift where they can truly master and investigate their hobbies and keep their passions a secret.

  3. Venus - Venus is not just the planet that shows our romantic tendencies, it’s also the planet that shows what we’re exactly attracted to. Check the sign, house, and important aspects being made to an individual’s Venus to get a good idea of what they’re attracted to. Example: If your friend’s Venus is in Aries in the 11th House, your friend is attracted to gifts that he/she can use on his/her own and give him/her instant gratification. He/she will most likely want a gift that can help him/her lead a group of friends or community.

  4. 2nd House - The 2nd House is commonly the house we look at when we want to see our spending habits. It would make logical sense that whatever you buy are things that you like. It would be a good idea to see if there’s any planets in the 2nd House and the aspects being made to it. Example: If your friend’s 2nd House is ruled by Libra and it has Uranus in it with a conjunction to Jupiter, your friend probably likes to buy things that are used to be aesthetically pleasing like makeup. However, with Uranus making a conjunction to Jupiter, your friend could buy exaggeratedly strange makeup or buy her makeup unpredictably and perhaps excessively due to Jupiter.

Those are just a few indicators and ideas on what you could buy for your friend, if you’re stumped on gift giving. If you’re wondering why I didn’t list other planets that could be important (especially Sun and Moon) it’s because I decided to lump them into the dominant planet category to make this post more concise.

Hopefully after reading this post, you’ll know exactly what to get! :) Good luck!
